The Story
Saddle Peak rises just under 750 meters, the highest point across the entire Andaman archipelago, and the trek up passes through dense tropical forest that feels a world away from the beaches most visitors come for.
Location
Saddle Peak National Park, Diglipur, North Andaman
How to Get There
Trek starts from Kalipur, near Diglipur, and requires Forest Department permission along with a registered local guide.
Travel Tips
- Start early in the morning to avoid the midday heat and complete the descent before dark
- Wear proper trekking shoes — the trail is forested and can get slippery after rain
- Arrange the guide and permit through a local operator ahead of time
